How to Decrease Shine in a Synthethic Wig

Keep people guessing whether it is your hair or a wig.

The fibers used to make synthetic wigs have a realistic appearance that looks like human hair, though these same fibers can often give off an overly shiny look that screams out that you are wearing a wig. Using some common items that are likely in your home already, however, can help decrease the shine and rock your wig with confidence.

Instructions

1. Twist the top of the baby powder container so that as little powder as possible will be disbursed.

2. Hold the wig in one hand and gently sprinkle baby powder over the hairs.

3. Use a wig brush to distribute the powder through the wig and decrease shininess.

4. Shake and pat any residual powder from the wig before wearing.
