Instructions

    • 1

Measure the width of a wide plastic bangle, as well as its length. For example, an ideal bangle for learning this craft is a 7-inch-long bangle that is at least 1 inch wide.

    • 2

Measure and cut a strip of wool or other smooth fabric so that it is 1 inch larger than the bangle's dimensions. For instance, if the bangle is a 7 inches long and 1 inch wide, cut the fabric strip so its is 8 inches long and 2 inches wide.

    • 3

Spread the fabric strip out, with the right side facing downward. Squeeze a line of hot glue down the longest edge and lines of glue across each end.

    • 4

Stand the bangle bracelet upright, as if you could roll it away, and place it in the center of the glued strip. Roll the bangle to pick up the glued fabric, wrapping the fabric around it. Tuck the overlapping edges around the inner walls of the bangle. This completely coats the bangle in the wool fabric. Let it dry for 20 minutes.

    • 5

Rub the bangle's surface with circular motions, using the kitchen scouring pad. This roughs up the wool, giving it a felted surface.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add optional embellishments to your felted bracelets, like glued on appliques, gems and beads.
