Directions for Sprout Seeds With Wet Paper in a Mason Jar
Germination is the process by which plants grow out of their seeds and put out stems and leaves. If you and your children want to see this process in action, germinate the seeds in a Mason jar, where you can see the process from beginning to end. After the seeds sprout, plant them in the garden to enjoy the plants afterward. This process accompanies a lesson on plants and how they grow.

1
Wet a paper towel thoroughly with water.
-
2
Plaster the paper towel against the inside walls of a Mason jar so that the paper towel covers the glass.
-
-
3
Slide five to eight seeds between the paper towel and the glass, spacing them evenly. The damp paper towel should hold the small seeds to the glass.
-
4
Put about an inch of water in the Mason jar.
-
5
Keep the jar in a warm place for seven days, redampening the towel as necessary. After seven days, check to see whether the plants have sprouted.
