How to Hang Grapevines

A grapevine garland can add a rustic look to your home. This garland is a long rope that intertwines dried grapevines. Grapevine garland is typically used as the material for wreaths. However, you don’t have to use the grapevines in a wreath. You can straighten out the garland and hang the grapevine for decor during the holidays or as an inexpensive way to accent your home.

Instructions

    • 1

Put down a tarp or a painter's drop cloth to catch any twigs or debris that fall on your floor.

    • 2

Stand on a stepladder and use your hands to screw in the hooks where you would like to hang the grapevine. Space your hooks about 2 feet apart to support the vines.

    • 3

Straighten the coiled grapevine with your hands. Tie the garland at 2-foot intervals with wire used to hang pictures.

    • 4

Climb onto the stepladder and hang the garland from the hooks. Continue to add the grapevines until you have the desired look.
