How to Sew a Punky Prom Dress
Alternative-style dresses are great DIY projects because they often incorporate multiple styles and fabrics. Use funky fabric scraps, nettings and embellishments to turn plain dresses into punky prom dress creations. Start with a basic strapless dress, trim it to a best-fitting sillouette, and sew on punky, vintage, or gothic details. With the help of a sewing machine, tulle and metallic embellishments can punk out any old garment in a matter of minutes.
