Instructions

    • 1

Lay a plastic coffee can lid on old newspaper. Spray-paint one side red. Turn it over when dry and spray-paint the other side red.

    • 2

Use the official Georgia bulldog "G" logo to draw a copy with pencil in the center on one side of the ornament. Use a protractor to draw an oval around the "G."

    • 3

Paint the "G" with black craft paint. Use two coats so you cannot see any colors through the black. Paint the oval around the "G" with red craft paint. Paint everything between the oval and around the "G" with white craft paint. Apply an extra layer if needed.

    • 4

Let the paint dry completely and flip the ornament over. Use a pencil to draw the Georgia bulldog mascot on the back side. Arch the back down and draw in a stumpy tail. Add a spiked collar to the bulldog's neck.

    • 5

Paint over the drawing of the bulldog with gray craft paint. Use black paint on the collar and eyes of the bulldog. Use white craft paint on the two sharp teeth that stick out the bulldog's mouth. Add extra layers of paint once the first layers dry.

    • 6

Tie the end of black yarn onto a needle. Force the needle through the top center of the ornament and feed the yarn through. Cut the yarn when you get a couple of inches of slack and then tie off the ornament to complete it.

    • 7

Spray a clear paint sealer on the ornament to protect the paint from peeling or smudging. Once the paint dries, hang it from the tree.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a more festive touch, add a Santa hat onto the bulldog's head.

  • As a simpler alternative, paint the Georgia "G" on both sides of the ornament.
