How to Get the Helicopter in "Nintendogs"
When you need a break from caring for your pets in "Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends," you can amuse yourself by playing with the toy helicopters. There are two types of helicopters in the game: the RC Helicopter and the Combat Copter. Neither of these rare toys is available in the game's stores, so you'll have to locate them yourself by taking walks. Not only is walking beneficial to your dog, but you'll have a chance at finding a helicopter during your outing.

Select the "Go Out" button from the main menu. Choose "Walk" from the next screen, then pick which one of your dogs you would like to take for a walk.

Draw a walking path with your stylus on the mini-map that appears on the screen. This will be the route you will walk with your dog. Trace your path through as many of the question mark symbols as you can.

Monitor the dog icon in the top screen during your walk. As soon as the icon stops moving, check the touch screen to see the reason. It could be another dog, a bathroom break, garbage or a present.

Pull back on the leash to stop your dog when you see a present, and he will bring it to you. Each present contains an item. You will have a chance at finding a helicopter inside each one. Continue searching out presents during walks until you have found the RC Helicopter or the Combat Copter.

Tips & Warnings
Keep your dog's stamina in mind when choosing a route for your walks. The more you take your dog out, the higher his stamina will become. This will enable you to go for longer walks.
After each walk, you'll have to wait 30 minutes before you can go out again with the same dog.
To control the RC Helicopter or Combat Copter, press "A" to lift off. The D-pad controls the helicopter's direction, and the "L" button will rotate the camera to the rear.
