How to Get the Backpack in "Banjo Tooie"
"Banjo Tooie" requires you to traverse eight large worlds and defeat the evil witch Guntilda. The bear Banjo's backpack normally carries the bird Kazooie, but when you split up the characters, Banjo can perform various abilities with the canvas. However, an important ability called Taxi Pack, which allows Banjo to carry items in his backpack, must be learned. You must speak to Jamjars along the river passage in Terrydactyland to use Taxi Pack.

Search the river passage for a wall on the left side with a crack in it.

Use the grip grab maneuver on the crack to reach a platform on the other side of the wall.

Choose Banjo as your character and do a double jump to reach the character Jamjars on a ledge above you.

Speak to Jamjars and give him 405 notes. He will teach you the Taxi Pack ability, which allows Banjo to ferry important objects and characters across levels.
