How to Crochet a Bunting

Keep your baby warm and cosy in a hand crocheted bunting.

A bunting is a style of sleeping bag intended for toddlers and babies, sometimes referred to as a cocoon or sleeping sack. Buntings can be convenient alternatives to blankets, especially for babies that move around during the night and twist up their blankets. Use any style of yarn for crocheting a bunting; a medium-weight wool is especially warm and cozy for a chilly night, whereas sport-weight yarns make a lighter weight bunting. To successfully crochet a bunting, you need to know how to work basic stitches, such as chain, double crochet and single crochet.
