How to Troubleshoot No Picture and a Burning Smell in a Westinghouse Television
On occasion, your Westinghouse TV may emit a burning smell or not display a picture. The odor typically happens when wiring has been shorted or an inside component has gone bad. When you don't see images on your TV, commonly, device connections or On-Screen Display settings need to be adjusted.

Turn off your TV if it smells like it is burning. Remove the power plug from the wall outlet and contact Westinghouse customer support for repair.

Secure all coax cable cord, antenna and external device connections to your TV if you don't see a picture.

Press the "Input" source button on the remote control to select the correct device if you still don't see a picture.

Lower the video resolution if a "No Input Signal" is displayed. Refer to your TV's manual for precise resolution adjustment instructions.

Press the "Menu" button on the remote control or right side of your TV if you still don't see a picture. Use the directional arrow buttons to make your selections. Select "Video." Choose "Brightness" and increase the level. Select "Contrast" and increase or decrease the level.

Press the "Menu" button on the remote control or right side of your TV if you still don't see a picture. Select "Video." Select "Video Reset" to reset your TV's video settings back to the factory defaults.
