How to Unlock Armor on "Halo 3: Orbital Drop Shock Trooper"

Despite his popularity, Master Chief is absent from "Halo 3: ODST."

"Halo 3: ODST" takes a dramatic step away from the Halo franchise and places you in the role of a rookie Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, a military specialist who is dropped behind enemy lines from a low-level orbit. Instead of assuming the role of the series protagonist, Master Chief (see references 1&2 for product descriptions), you'll have to battle The Covenant as a common soldier. One extra piece of armor can be unlocked by accomplishing a certain in-game goal, while a second piece of armor can be unlocked by completing a sequence of challenges in "Halo 3" and "Halo 3: ODST."

Instructions

Firefight Armor

1. Create a new game on campaign mode (all remaining steps use references 3 & 4).

2. Choose the “Legendary” difficulty.

3. Complete the game on the “Legendary” difficulty to unlock the Firefight armor.

Recon Armor - "Halo 3" Requirements

1. Log on to Bungie.net and register your Xbox Live gamertag to track your progress through the following challenges.

2. Complete the “Vidmaster: Annual” challenge on "Halo 3" by finishing the four-player Xbox Live campaign on Legendary mode. You must complete the game with the iron skull activated and all players riding on ghosts.

3. Complete the “Vidmaster: Light switch” challenge by earning the rank of Lieutenant on any ranked playlist.

4. Complete the “Vidmaster: 7 on 7” challenge. To complete this challenge you must enter into either a ranked or social playlist with seven experience points on the seventh day of the month.

5. Locate all of the skulls on the mythic maps to unlock the “Vidmaster: Brainpan” challenge.

Recon Armor - "Halo 3: ODST" Requirements

1. Complete any level of the game on solo mode with a difficulty of “Legendary” with no shots fired or grenades thrown to earn the “Vidmaster: Classic” challenge.

2. Start a four-player “Firefight” campaign with a “Heroic” difficulty and survive past the fourth set of enemies to earn the “Vidmaster: Endure” challenge.

3. Unlock the “Vidmaster: Deja Vu” challenge by completing the “Highway” level on a four-player Xbox Live co-op campaign. You must complete this mission with the iron skull activated and without the use of a Warthog or Scorpion vehicle.

4. Log on to Bungie.net and log in with your gamertag to receive the download code for the "Halo 3: ODST" Recon armor.
