How to Delete on the Kindle
The Amazon Kindle eBook reader utilizes a QWERTY keyboard and five-way controller to navigate your eBook collection. Although the navigational controls are generally easy to use, some actions are not entirely intuitive to those who use computers and touch-screen smartphones on a regular basis. Deleting items from your Kindle is one such action that functions differently than you might expect but once you understand the procedure, you can remove items from your device in a matter of seconds.

Press the "Home" button to navigate to your Kindle home screen.

Highlight the item you want to delete from your kindle.

Move the five-way controller to the left to delete the item. If the item was purchased from Amazon, the confirmation button will say "Remove from Device" and if you are removing an item you manually added to your Kindle, the confirmation button will say "Delete."
