To buy from the Kindle Store you must register a credit card to your Amazon account.

When you buy a Kindle e-reader device from Amazon it's automatically registered to your Amazon account. Being logged into an Amazon account is a requirement for buying or downloading new digital reading content onto your Kindle from the online Kindle Store. The device connects directly to the Kindle Store via a Wi-Fi connection or using a 3G cellular data network, if it's the 3G-equipped model of Kindle. Your existing library of e-books can also be downloaded to your Kindle from you computer via a USB connection.
