How to Become a Duck Commander

"Duck Commander" is a television hunting show on Outdoor Channel featuring a cast of Louisiana duck hunters known collectively as "The Duckmen." The Duckmen are highly skilled hunters, and becoming a member of the Duck Commander team will require extensive duck hunting experience and skill. The best way to get experience hunting ducks is to go hunting as much as possible during duck season, as well as continuing to improve individual skills in the off season.

• Duck calls
• Duck decoys

Instructions

1. Grow a long beard. All of the Duckmen sport beards, and your chances of joining them may be increased if you have a beard as well.

2. Practice shooting at a shotgun range. Shooting skills are essential to becoming a world-class duck hunter.

3. Practice duck calling with a variety of duck calls. You can practice calling ducks outside of duck hunting season as long as you leave the shotgun at home. Calling is a very important aspect of successful duck hunting.

4. Learn about decoys and practice setting up decoy spreads. This can be practiced outside the hunting season to further improve your skills.

5. Contact the producers of "Duck Commander" and explain why you would be an asset to their team. If you are lucky and your skills are up to par, perhaps they will ask you to join them.
