1
Choose a tent for your reception that fits into your country wedding's color scheme. Many country weddings feature shades of brown, gold and yellow. While pale colors create a lighter atmosphere, darker options, such as chocolate brown, work well too. Country wedding accent colors include blue, red and green.

Add interest to the inside of the tent, as well as to focal points such as the entryway and stage area, with rustic decorations such as bales of hay, wagons, attractive pieces of wood and bundles of wheat. You can place additional decorations on top of hay bales, such as small, decorative pumpkins and squash or bundles of wildflowers tied with hemp or twine.

Cover the tables with tablecloths in a color that complements the color of your reception tent. For example, a pale gold, yellow, red or green tablecloth is a country color that looks great underneath a dark brown reception tent. If desired, drape the chairs in the same fabric for an elegant country feel.

Accent your tablecloths with a napkins and table runners in a contrasting print. Choose a plaid or floral print in a matching color to enhance the country feel of your wedding reception. Opt for something subtle; a small print is country while still being classy.

5
Fill decorative straw baskets with country flowers, such as sunflowers, daisies and wildflowers. Place these on the tables as centerpieces and in other areas, such as near the entrance for additional decoration. You can also use clean, empty mason jars, or antique glass vases, to hold the flowers for your centerpieces.
