How to Make Glasses out of Pony Beads
Pony beads are small, plastic beads with large holes in the center. These beads are often used with children’s crafts. Stringing the beads takes little because the center holes are so large. Children can make a variety of craft projects using the beads, including making pony bead glasses. These glasses have a pipe cleaner core, which makes it possible to actually wear the glasses when the project is finished.

1
Slide pony beads onto a pipe cleaner until only about 1 inch of the pipe cleaner is not hidden by beads. Twist the ends of the pipe cleaner together to make a circle. Repeat for another pipe cleaner to make two circles.

2
Bend another pipe cleaner in half; then twist the ends together to connect the two sides of the pipe cleaner. Thread pony beads onto the pipe cleaner segment, leaving about 1 inch on each end open. Twist the unbeaded ends around the circles, creating a nose bridge for the glasses.

3
Twist one more pipe cleaner to the outside edge of the glasses to become the ear piece. Repeat for the other side. Slide some pony beads onto the ear pieces and glue the last bead in place with hot glue to prevent the beads from falling off of the pipe cleaner.
