How to Fix the Assembly of a Canon LC3175
The Canon LC3175 is a precise laser printer that has a large assembly case to protect its fragile contents from falls or other falling objects. If your assembly case is damaged, you will need to fix it before using the printer again. Protruding or loose pieces can prevent the printer cartridges from having room to operate properly. The loose pieces can also permanently damage your printer.

1
Clean out any of the loose pieces of plastic from your printer. If your assembly case has cracked or had pieces fall into your printer, it is imperative that you remove them. These pieces can cause catastrophic damage.
-
2
Superglue any broken pieces of the case back together. A strong adhesive, such as Gorilla Glue, will keep the case intact and functioning; however, it will not provide as much protection in the event of a fall.

3
Order a new assembly case for the printer. You can purchase stand-alone assembly cases for the Canon LC3175, but you will have to completely remove the contents of your printer from its original case. This will void its warranty and can be very risky if you do not have experience taking apart printers.

Take the printer to a local repair shop. Local shops can apply new assembly cases to the printer or simply fix cracks or missing pieces to your current case.
