How to Decorate a Backpack With Graffiti
If you're not happy with the plain look of your backpack, a good way to stand out in the crowd is to decorate it with colorful graffiti-type lettering. This type of lettering is easy to draw and you can employ a few techniques to properly affix it to the backpack in a way that will make it look well-made.
Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- 20-inch by 24-inch painting canvas
- Markers
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun

Measure the space on the backpack where you want to place the drawing. Trace that space onto the canvas so you know your boundaries.

Sketch the graffiti letters on the canvas with a pencil first. Draw the first letter using one line so it looks like a balloon letter. Draw the second letter, then the third, and so on, so that each letter overlaps the other. Add depth to the letters by drawing visible sides on the letters on the bottom- and right-facing sides of the letters.

Trace over the letters with the markers, then fill in the white space with whatever colors you want.

Cut out the drawing with scissors along the boundaries you drew earlier.

Use a hot glue gun to carefully attach the drawing to the space on the bag. Tuck in the edges of the canvas to give it a more finished look.
