How to Knit a British Moss Stitch
The British moss stitch relies on alternating knit and purled stitches for its distinctive texture. If you know the basics of how to knit and purl, you will have no trouble with the British moss stitch, which is also know as an elongated version of the seed stitch. The moss stitch is often used as an alternative to ribbing on sweaters and hats and can be used on scarves since it delivers a flat piece of work that does not curl at the edges.
