  • Bamboo
  • Twine or thin ribbon
  • Glass cylindrical or square vase
  • River rocks or marbles
  • Flowers
  • Mirror

Instructions

      Gather an arrangement of four or five bamboo shoots in a tight clutch. Tie a length of twine or a thin satin ribbon around the center of the bamboo.

      Place the arrangement of bamboo into the center of a clear glass cylindrical or square vase.

      Fill the bottom of the base of the vase with decorative river rocks or marbles. Arrange the rocks or marbles so that they cover the base of the bamboo shoots. Fill the vase with water.

      Place a single bloom of a hydrangea, two or three lilies or a small grouping of orchids in the vases. Position the blooms so that they sit just above the rim of the vase.

      Set a mirror in the center of the table. Place the vase in the center of the mirror. Place a collection of tea lights on top of the mirror, toward the outer edge.
