How to Call a Number From iChat
Like Skype, iChat allows you to make both video and audio calls to anyone on your list of contacts, provided they have a webcam (only required for video calls). To make a call, you'll need to have that person on your contact list. In addition to making calls, you can also use iChat to send and receive files. Note that when you're online, other iChat contacts will be able to see your profile, so you may want to edit it.

Launch iChat.

Click on the contact you'd like to call.

Click on the phone icon at the bottom of the list and iChat will attempt to make an audio call to that contact's number. If they answer, you'll be able to talk to them.
