How to Make a CD Song List From an iTunes Playlist

Using the song list of your iTunes playlist can save you time usually spent writing out the artist and track name details for each song on a CD. Using the song list from your playlist in iTunes can be a time-saver, but can be difficult for a new user. You can also burn a CD directly from your playlist, which will include all of the track name information on the CD data itself. Selecting which pieces of data you wish to appear in your iTunes playlist is a good idea before copying it to use as a CD song list.

Scroll down if necessary, using the blue bar to on the right hand side of the column. Click on the playlist you wish to use for your CD song list and it will appear in the center of the main screen.

Right-click the “Name” field or any other field at the top of the playlist. This will bring up options for what is displayed as the track information on the playlist. iTunes automatically displays the track name, artist name, song length, the album it is from, the amount of times you’ve listened to it and the genre. Remove any unwanted pieces of information by clicking on the check mark beside the option you wish to remove. For example, click the check mark beside “Play Count” to remove that field.
