How to Make a Baby Collage
Creating a collage of baby photos is a timeless way for parents to preserve memories of their child. A collage is also a gift that anyone can make by using their own creativity. The most important part of making a collage is choosing the right photos and arranging them to showcase the individuality and beauty of the subject matter.

1
Choose photos for the collage. If the photos are digital, arrange to print them manually or order through a photo-sharing website. Use acid-free photo paper to prevent the photos from deteriorating with age. Before printing, use editing tools to sharpen the images to resize to maximize the focus on the baby. For a baby collage, pick photos that show different stages of the child, such as newborn, infant, and toddler to create a time line of the baby's life. Use a ballpoint pen to write the dates or a description on the back of the photos for reference.

2
Buy a frame for the photos. Many different types of frames can be used for a collage, including one that has several different openings in the photo mat or a large frame that will showcase overlapping photos. Collages look best in larger frames such as 8-by-10-inch, 11-by-14-inch or 18-by-24 inch. Avoid frames that are too small or poorly constructed.

Arrange the photos on a table or floor before putting them into the frame. Use a variety of vertical and horizontal images, making sure they'll fit into the photo mat. Many artists look at the photos in several different arrangements before deciding on a final design.

Tape the photos to the mat with individual openings or arrange them in an overlapping style before securing them to one large photo mat. Clean the glass of the frame to remove any fingerprints or dust. Place the photo mat directly against the glass. Secure the frame to the collage, using the prongs attached to the back of the frame.
