How to Make a Toy Wedding Ring for Kids
If your child wants to have a pretend wedding, you can make a matching set of toy wedding rings using inexpensive craft supplies. The little bride-to-be not only gets a wedding ring, but an engagement ring that sparkles, with a stone in a color that she can choose herself. As long as the children do not squash their toy wedding rings after the pretend ceremony, and if you follow a basic procedure, they will last for years to come.
Things You'll Need
- Aluminum foil
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Clear tape
- Epoxy adhesive
- 1/4-inch-wide rhinestone
Instructions

1
Measure and cut three strips of aluminum foil to 1 inch wide by 2 inches long -- one for the engagement ring, one for the groom's wedding ring and one for the bride's wedding ring.
-
2
Fold the long edges of the aluminum foil in to meet in the middle. Continue folding the long ends over until you have a folded strip that is about 1/4 inch wide.

3
Wrap the folded strip around the base of the child's left ring finger and adjust the fit so that the ring is snug but not tight. Put a small piece of clear tape around the foil where the ends overlap. Trim any excess length from the ends of the foil. Repeat this process for the other two pieces of foil.

4
Dab some epoxy adhesive in the middle of the flat side of a 1/4-inch-wide white rhinestone, or use any other color that the child wants for the stone of her engagement ring.
-
5
Press the rhinestone onto the top of one of the aluminum foil bands and wait 24 hours for the glue to dry completely.
