Instructions

  1. Peapod

    • 1

Inflate three green latex balloons manually and tie them off at the ends; these will be your peas. Set the inflated balloons aside.

    • 2

Lay a green sweatshirt out on a flat work surface. Pin the balloons in a vertical row down the middle of the shirt with safety pins.

    • 3

Put the sweatshirt and a pair of green sweatpants on your child. Paint his face with green face paint if desired.

    Carrot

    • 4

Cut the sleeves off an oversize orange sweatshirt; the sweatshirt should be long enough on your child to reach his knees. Discard the sleeves.

    • 5

Cut the bottom of the sweatshirt so that it resembles a "V". Gather the raw edges and fold them in. Hot glue the edges back together.

    • 6

Draw black lines around the entire sweatshirt with a permanent marker to create the ribbed look of a carrot.

    • 7

Twist the ends of several green pipe cleaners around a thin black headband to resemble the carrot greens.

    • 8

Put an orange turtleneck and leggings or tights on your child and then slip the sweatshirt on over the top. Put on the headband last. Paint your child's face orange with face paint if desired.
