How to Counterattack in "AC: Brotherhood"

Mastering the counterattack in "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" renders most of the enemies you encounter helpless.

"Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood," the third installment of Ubisoft's blockbuster third-person action-adventure game, takes place in Rome at the end of the 15th century and incorporates actual historical characters, including Niccolò Machiavelli and Leonardo da Vinci, into its plot. Fighting off bad guys in "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" is a lot easier once you master the proper defensive technique and approach to combat. For the most part, counterattacks and smart defense are all Ezio needs to take out enemies.

Instructions

1. Wait for the enemy to make a move before you do anything.

2. Hold the "Block" button as the enemy approaches.

3. Tap the "Attack" button while blocking with a weapon just before an enemy hits and you will perform a counterattack.

4. Repeat the technique for each enemy you encounter. Once you master the timing, Ezio will have a much easier time fighting off the enemy.

Tips & Warnings

• Be patient and don't rush into combat. Timing is everything. Once you get the rhythm of combat, you'll be able to fend for yourself.
