      Find the source of the squeak. Get in bed and move around and listen for where it it coming from.

      Remove the mattress and box spring. Move the bed around a bit again to find the exact location of the squeak.

      Tighten the screws and bolts with your screwdriver or wrench around the area that you have pinpointed as the location of the squeak.

      Spray WD-40 around the squeaky area to lubricate it. This will help easy the friction between bolts, screws and bed pieces that tend to cause squeaks.

      Move the bed around once again to listen for more squeaks. Repeat Step 3 and 4 if you hear more squeaking. Adjusting the bed like you did in Step 3 may cause squeaks elsewhere.

      Put the box spring and mattress back on the bed frame.
