How to Get Rid of Cigarette Odor on Kitchen Utensils
Cigarette smoke attaches itself to any surface it comes in contact with, including kitchen utensils. The smoke leaves a nose-wrinkling odor on the utensils that lasts long after you put the cigarette out. Normal washing does little to remove the cigarette aroma, which can disrupt the use of your kitchen tools. Eliminate the cigarette smell using inexpensive and natural products. Wipe the inside of an empty sink clean with damp paper towels. Place the drain stopper over the drain, and fill the sink with hot water.

Add several drops of dish soap and 1 cup of white vinegar to the hot water. Swish the water, soap and vinegar together with your hand for several seconds until they're mixed.

Submerge the kitchen utensils in the soapy water, and wash them with a sponge. Let the utensils soak for 15 to 20 minutes.

Rinse the utensils with cool, running water, and dry them with a towel.

Fill the sink once again with hot water if the odor still persists. Add 1 cup of baking soda, and swish it with your hand until the baking soda dissolves.

Submerge the smelly utensils, and soak them for 20 minutes. Wipe the utensils clean with a cloth, and then rinse with water and dry with a towel.
