How to Hand Wash a Window Without Leaving Streaks
Glass cleaner that you buy commercially can sometimes create unsightly streaks on windows. Switch to something more natural and less expensive to wash a window by hand. Vinegar is an all-purpose cleaner that does more than deodorize your home. Things You'll Need
- Plastic bucket
- White vinegar
- Liquid dish soap
- Window washer or cloth
- Soft cloth

Fill a plastic bucket with warm water. Add a cup of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of liquid dish soap to create a window-cleaning solution.

Clean the windows with a window washer or just use a cloth. Dip the washer or cloth into the solution and carefully clean the windows. Start from the top and work your way down.

Wipe the windows with a dry, soft, microfiber cloth. The cloth will get the windows completely dry, and you are left with streak-free, clean windows.

Tips & Warnings
For large or tall windows, use a squeegee to dry the windows instead of a cloth.
