How to Protect T-Shirt Transfers With Protectant Spray

Use a fabric and apparel spray to protect T-shirts after applying a transfer.

The best way to ensure a long lasting T-shirt logo transfer is to shield the graphics and text with a protective spray. There are apparel sprays designed specifically to protect clothes and other fabrics by repelling liquids and stains. These products typically work on nylon, cotton, canvas, silk and wool. No matter which brand of protective spray you choose, be sure to follow the individual product's instructions, and allow the T-shirt stain repellent to fully cure before wearing or washing.

• Fabric and apparel protector spray

Instructions

1. Hold the fabric and apparel protector spray up right and seven to 10 inches away from the surface of the T-shirt.

2. Spray the entire surface evenly with a light coat. Allow to dry for at least four hours.

3. Spray on a light second coat. Allow to dry for one to two days before washing.
