Setting the Table for a Bridal Shower Luncheon

Planning a bridal shower luncheon is a big responsibility. From food to favors and everything in between, there is a lot to do. One important touch is to wow guests with a beautifully decorated table. To do it, be sure to use pretty colors, a centerpiece and themed party goods. Instructions

1. Cover the table by layering two different colored tablecloths or linens. For example, if the shower theme colors are pink and white, you can first put down a white tablecloth and then layer a pink runner over the top. Or, you can use a pink tablecloth with white napkins or place mats.

2. Add a centerpiece reflecting the theme, color and formality of the event. Flowers in the colors of the shower are always a good idea. Some unconventional ideas for centerpieces include balloons, hanging crystals, candles and bright fresh or faux fruit in tall glass vases.

3. Use themed or colored party goods such as cutlery, plates and accessories for each place setting. Party supply stores often carry inexpensive paper party goods that coordinate or they have a variety of different colors to match the color theme of the shower.

4. Use similar decorations for the buffet table. Pretty platters and festive foods will help add to the décor. Again, party supply stores often have inexpensive platters and serving pieces for the event.
