DIY Satin Cord Bracelet
You do not necessarily have to spend a lot of money to give someone a thoughtful jewelry gift. Friendship bracelets are homemade designs, which you can make from strands of satin cord knotted and woven together. You can then give the bracelet to a friend in indication of your friendship, and the time and effort you spent creating the design will be much appreciated.

1
Cut six 3-foot lengths of satin cord. Lay the cords next to each other and group them together.
-
2
Twist the end of the grouped cords into a loop. Pass the loose end of the grouping through the loop and pull the knot tight. This overhand knot secures the cord together.

3
Attach the knot to your pants or secure object with a safety pin. Spread out the cords in a fan arrangement from left to right.
-
4
Feed the far-left cord over the cord to the right of it. Pass it back under and through the created loop. Pull the cord tight to make a knot on the second cord. Repeat this with the far-left cord on all cords in the row. The far-left cord will now be positioned on the far right of the arrangement. Repeat the procedure with the new far-left cord to make another row of knots. Continue to do this until the bracelet is long enough.

5
Group all of the loose end cords together and secure them with an overhand knot. Remove the safety pin.
