Instructions

    • 1

Lay a carpet on the floor for the bass drum. The carpet provides a foundation for the bass drum. The legs of the bass drum grip the carpet, which prevents the bass drum from sliding forward when the pedal strikes the drum.

    • 2

Place the bass drum on the carpet. Turn the lugs to loosen the bass drum legs. Lower the left leg and the right leg on the bass drum until each one touches the carpet, then tighten the lugs to stabilize the legs. The left and right leg should be even to prevent the drum from tilting or moving when you play. Attach the bass drum pedal to the backside of the bass drum. It slides onto the edge of the bass drum hoop and fits directly in the center of the bass drum.

    • 3

Place the drum throne directly behind the bass drum. Sit on the throne and play the bass drum pedal with your right foot. Adjust the height of the throne until the bass pedal is easily and comfortably reached.

    • 4

Set the snare drum stand on the left side behind the bass drum. Place the snare drum on the stand. Sit on the drum throne and play the snare drum. Re-position the snare drum stand and drum until it can be reached and played with comfort and ease.

    • 5

Set the floor tom behind the bass drum on the right hand side. Sit on the drum throne and adjust the position of the floor drum so that you can easily reach and play the snare, bass drum and floor tom.

    • 6

Mount the two tom toms to the bass drum. The mounting poles for the toms are already on the bass drum. Place the smaller 8-by-5-inch tom on the left side and the larger 10-by-5-inch tom on the right. Slide the toms onto the respective mounting pole. Sit on the drum throne and adjust the angle of the toms. Tighten the lugs to stabilize the toms to the mounting poles.

    • 7

Mount the crash cymbal to the cymbal stand. The cymbal stand has two pieces of felt that prevent the cymbals from rubbing against the metal stand. Slide the first piece of felt onto the stand until it reaches the ridge that supports the cymbal. Place the cymbal on the stand and then place the second piece of felt on top of the cymbal. Tighten the lug to secure the cymbal to the stand. Place the cymbal stand in front of the bass drum on the right side. Sit on the drum throne and adjust the tilt and angle of the cymbal.

    • 8

Place the hi-hat stand behind the snare drum. The hi-hat pedal should be easily reached with your left foot. Slide the bottom felt piece onto the stand. Place the bottom cymbal on the stand followed by the top cymbal, which rests on the bottom cymbal. Tighten the lugs to secure the cymbal. The pedal raises and lowers the top cymbal so that it hits the bottom cymbal.
