Decorative vegetable bottles can feature olive oil infused with peppers, spices and herbs. The floating ingredients serve more than for display purposes and double as a way to liven up a variety of meals in the kitchen. Custom vegetable bottle mixtures can be created at home using old decor or wine bottles. Olive oil is funneled over the ingredients and the bottle is corked to be gifted, displayed or used for cooking up to six months later.
Things You'll Need
- Decorative glass bottle
- Bay leafs
- Sauce pan
- Virgin olive oil
Uncork and clean out the decorative bottle to be used. Remove stems and wash the peppers prior to bottling.
Slip the cleaned peppers into the empty glass bottle.
Add peppercorns and bay leafs to the peppers inside the glass bottle.
Pour olive oil into the sauce pan. Warm the olive oil on low heat to avoid burning and discoloring.
Funnel the warm olive oil into the glass bottle. Cork the glass bottle. Let the mixture sit for two weeks for flavors to infuse.

- Peppers and vegetables can be substituted and seasoned, as desired.
