How to Troubleshoot the Vuzix iWear

High-quality surround sound in 2-D and 3-D video portability is what you get with Vuzix iWear. On occasion, the device might not turn on or automatically turn off, or an audio problem could occur. The battery life might also be shorter than you expected. Don't let delays get in the way of your personal entertainment. When you connect your video eyewear to your iPod or DVD or VCR player, opt for the fastest resolution in the shortest amount of time.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the battery if your device does not turn on. Confirm that the battery is installed correctly. Replace the battery with a new one if your device still does not turn on.

    • 2

Verify that the device is connected to a video source if it automatically turns off right after you turn it on. A video source must be connected to the eyewear within 30 seconds for the device to remain powered on.

    • 3

Plug the earphones completely into the viewer's temples input part if you do not hear sound. Unplug the earphones, and then replug them and verify that the connection is secure.

    • 4

Replace the current battery with a new high-quality alkaline, lithium, or NiMH type if the batteries do not last as long as expected given the rated battery life.

    • 5

Limit 3-D content viewing and lower the brightness level if the batteries still do not last as long as expected. Press the "Power/OSD" button on the battery pack until the "Brightness" sun icon is displayed, and then select it. Press "-" on the battery pack to decrease the brightness level. Press the "Power/OSD" button repeatedly until you exit the on-screen display.
