How to Beat Plane Freezer on "RuneScape"
The Plane Freezer, or Lakhrahnaz, is a boss monster of the Dungeoneering skill in the online role-playing game "RuneScape." Due to the icy habitat, the monster is extremely difficult to kill. When you attempt to walk in the room that Lakhrahnaz inhibits, your character slides back and forth throughout the room. Generally, an easy tactic is to kill Lakhrahnaz with a mage or ranged base attack, but the monster is highly resistant, although not immune. To beat the Plane Freezer Lakhrahnaz, use two forms of attack and take advantage of his close and far away encounters.

Equip your character with melee armor and a melee weapon. Place several food items, a bow and arrows in your inventory.

Return to the room that inhibits Lakhrahnaz and enter the door.

Attack Lakhrahnaz using your melee weapon until he moves away from you. Do not move away from the doorway. Because the block in front of the door does not contain ice, your character does not slide. If Lakhrahnaz attempts to push you away during one of his specials, your character stays on the spot in front of the door and the entrance door blocks the hit.

Equip your bow and arrows and attack Lakhrahnaz until he approaches you. The monster switches back and forth between close and distance attacks. Although your ranged attacks will not be as successful as melee, you will cause enough damage for Lakhrahnaz to return to your area.

Continue attacking Lakhrahnaz using your melee weapon when he is close and using your ranged weapon when he is across the room. If the monster succeeds at pushing you away from the door entrance, return to the spot by sliding your character to save blocks. Your character can move diagonally, vertically and horizontally, but only stops sliding when you arrive at a block that does not contain ice.

Tips & Warnings
Lakhrahnaz is similar to several other high-level monsters, such as tormented demons. Although your ranged attacks might not cause damage, hitting him with ranged attacks cause him to move closer, enabling you to attack with melee.
When using ranged attack, Lakhrahnaz will shoot spears out of his tentacles. Equipping ranged armor while attacking with a bow will protect you from these attacks.
Place your gatestone directly outside of the boss room door. When you teleport outside of the room, Lakhrahnaz returns to the area next to the door, enabling you to enter the room and continue attacking using melee.
If possible, back the Plane Freezer Lakhrahnaz into a corner directly east or west of the door to prevent him from moving. Although he will still push you across the room, your character will slide to the door spot and slide right back to Lakhrahnaz.
Use a familiar to continue the fight while fighting Lakhrahnaz. If the monster hits you and you slide through the room, your familiar will continue to attack.
