How to Fix the Rivets of Jeans
Jean rivets are small buttons that are located along the pockets of jeans. They are used to help hold the pockets in place. These rivets are also found along the legs of the jeans. Over time, these rivets can become loose and even fall off, leaving holes in the jeans. These holes can spread out and ruin the jeans over time. If you notice rivets that are slightly damaged, it is best to fix them by replacing them immediately. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Take off the damaged rivet and remove it from your jeans. Pull it off by hand or, if necessary, pop it out with a flat-head screwdriver. Inspect the jeans where the rivet was located and check to make sure the jeans are not ripped anywhere and the hole is not too big for a new rivet to be installed.

2
Lay the pair of jeans out on a flat surface such as an ironing board. Slide a small rivet nail through the hole in the jeans where the old rivet was removed so it is protruding slightly from the jeans. This is where the rivet will connect.

3
Place the rivet directly on top of the nail that is sticking up. Slide the hole on the back of the rivet over the nail and push down firmly to tighten it in place. Hammer down very gently on the rivet with a mallet until the bottom of the rivet is flush with the jeans.

4
Feel on the inside of the jeans and make sure the rivet is secure and does not move around when you touch it. Check that the nail is intact with the rivet.
