How to Hide Floodlights for a Wedding Reception
Disguise unsightly floodlights from your wedding easily. You don't want your guests being blinded every time they turn a corner. You also don't want them interfering with the photographer's cameras as he takes gorgeous pictures of you and your groom. In a matter of a few minutes, you'll be able to take care of this issue and all anyone will notice are beautiful wedding decorations.
Things You'll Need
- Ribbon
- Silk flowers (bunches and singles)

- Scissors
- Wreath base
- Pins
Instructions

1
Deactivate the light by turning the power off to it. If you are unable to turn the power off, remove the floodlight cover and the bulb.
-
2
Take your wreath base and begin placing silk flowers and foliage around it any way that you wish to create a silk flower wreath.
-
-
3
Use scissors to cut leaves back or to cut stems of flowers so they all match, so none of them stick too far out.
-
4
Wrap the entire floodlight with ribbon, including any visible wire. If the power cord is not noticeable, it's unnecessary to wrap it. Use a pin to secure the ribbon.
-
5
Place the finished wreath around the floodlight. You might have to secure it with ribbon, especially if it's windy or if it doesn't sit securely on the light.
-
6
Place another bunch of silk flowers in the middle of the wreath, securing it in the middle of the floodlight on the ribbon. Use pins to fasten the silk flowers to the ribbon.

Tips & Warnings
When creating the wreath, use a pattern of flowers and foliage for the best effect.
The more flowers you use in the center of the wreath/floodlight, the better it will look.
Give the wreath away as a parting gift after the reception.
Be sure to use extra pins on windy days.
