  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • White vinegar or citrus fruit
  • Sponge
  • Paper towels

      Fill a microwave-safe bowl with 1 cup of water. Add 1/2 cup white vinegar or chopped, unpeeled citrus fruit to the bowl.

      Set the bowl in the microwave and turn it on "High" for two to three minutes. Leave the microwave door closed for 15 minutes to prevent the steam from escaping.

      Remove the bowl from the microwave and remove the turntable. Wipe the microwave interior and turntable with a damp sponge to remove any loosened grime or stains.

      Dry the microwave window with paper towels and replace the turntable.
