How to Disinfect a Concrete Patio for Dogs
A concrete patio can be an ideal place for a dog to rest during the warm weather. In shade, concrete remains relatively cool and, in the rain, concrete provides a mud-free location upon which the dog can lie. However, unless it’s sealed, even polished concrete is extremely porous. If your dog chooses to eliminate on the concrete patio, it can absorb urine, loose stools, and odors. It can also attract bacteria and create other health problems for dog and family alike. Fortunately, a concrete patio can be cleaned and deodorized with relative ease.

Tips & Warnings
Dampen stubborn stains on the patio and sprinkle with baking soda. Scrub it into the patio surface using a broom or scrub brush. The baking soda should lift the stain.
