How to Make a Bobble Stitch Crochet Hat With Ear Flaps

How to Make a Bobble Stitch Crochet Hat With Ear Flaps thumbnail
Crochet a kinder, gentler Elmer Fudd hat using the bobble stitch.

Add some bobble stitches to a basic crocheted hat with ear flaps to add textural interest to a plain hat. Bobbles lend addition warmth to a garment because of the air pockets inside the stitches. Like its cousins the popcorn and cluster stitches, a bobble require more yarn than plain double crochets. Worked with two strands of yarn, this earflap hat is extra warm and is easy to make. You can make one in an evening and wear it the next morning to go to work, to class or to hunt.
