How to Kill All the Ground Suckers From a Plum Tree That Was Cut Down
Suckers are the vertical shoots that grow up from a plum tree's roots near the base of the tree. When the tree is alive, these shoots will often suck up the nutrients needed by the tree to survive. When the tree is cut down, they represent an annoyance and an eyesore. They are the tree's attempt to re-grow itself and should be cut down and controlled to ensure the tree does not come back with a vengeance. Does this Spark an idea?
