How to Make a One-Bead Bracelet

A bracelet with a single bead on it allows you to highlight a particular piece of jewelry. This can be particularly important if you want this item to catch the eye. If you make your own one-bead bracelet, you could not only save money, but also fully customize your design to suit your requirements. When you make a single-bead bracelet, you can make the bracelet adjustable to fit various wrist sizes.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a 30-inch strip of leather cord.

    • 2

Thread a bead onto the cord and align it in the middle. The bead can be of any design that you want such as a gem bead. Ensure when you get the bead that the cord can fit through the drilled hole.

    • 3

Make a loop in one of the ends of the leather, leaving a tail of around 3.5 inches.

    • 4

Hold the opposite end of the cord against the side of the loop. Pass the loose end coming from the loop over and around the loop and the opposite end of the cord three times. Push the three wraps together. Feed the loose end into the loop, and pull on it to make the knot tight. Repeat the process on the opposite side of the cord.

    • 5

Cut any excess cord away, leaving about 1 mm from each knot.
