Instructions

    • 1

Run the cloth under hot water and then wring it out until it is damp if the oil is still warm and fresh. Wipe the oil off of the wall with the wet cloth. The oil should come off easily if it hasn't dried.

    • 2

Measure out 1 tbsp. of cornstarch and put it in a bowl. Add water to the cornstarch, mixing it until you have created a paste to use on dried oil stains.

    • 3

Dampen a cloth with warm water and use it to spread the paste over the oil stain on your wall. Try this method on a hidden part of your wall first to ensure it doesn't discolor your wall.

    • 4

Let the cornstarch paste dry on the wall. As it dries, it should soak into the oil from the wall.

    • 5

Wipe away the cornstarch once it has dried with a damp cloth. The oil stain should be gone when you take away the dried paste.
