A Paper Rosewood Wreath

Use your favorite decorative papers to replicate a rosewood wreath in a few simple steps. Choose scrapbook paper with the color or patterns you would like your roses to have and form them by hand in a matter of minutes. You have the option to create a traditional round wreath or another shape such as hearts or squares. If this is a gift, take into consideration the recipient’s home décor.

Instructions

Stack three pieces of paper on top of one another and cut them into a smaller square shape. The size will depend on how big you want your roses to be. You will need at least 20 squares to cover your wreath, but the quantity of roses will depend on the size of your wreath.

Draw a spiral on the top piece of paper in your stack that starts in the middle and extends outward. Cut out the spiral and let it naturally re-curl into a loose rose shape. Form the rose by letting the innermost spirals be close together while the outer spirals are further apart as a rose would be. Keep the rose secure by gluing the inside of it in various spots.

Cut a round piece of felt for the bottom of each rose and glue them to the roses. Place more glue on the bottom of the felt pieces to attach them to the wreath, continuing until your wreath is covered in paper roses.
