Beaded jewelry is time consuming to make, but the end result is rewarding.

Multi-strand beaded bracelets are not difficult to make, though they can be time consuming. For a stretch bracelet with ten strands, you will want to use small beads or the bracelet could become too bulky and won’t give you the look you are striving for. Seed beads, small round beads and bugle beads work well for a ten stranded beaded stretch bracelet.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut ten strands of jewelry string 4 to 5 inches longer than the size of your wrist. This will allow room for tying off and finishing the bracelet.

    • 2

Tie a knot 2 inches down on one end of each string. The knot should be big enough that the beads will not slide over it and fall off.

    • 3

Thread the beads onto each string. Leave about 2 inches of excess string at the end.

    • 4

Tie a knot into each string when you have the beads strung on. The knot should be close to the last bead and big enough that the beads won’t slide off.

    • 5

Gather one end of each string of beads together. Thread the end of all ten strands of beads into one larger bead. Do the same for the other end of strings.

    • 6

Gather the ten strands at each end and tie them all into one knot between the two large beads. Pull the knot tight. The two large beads should touch.

    • 7

Dab some glue on the knot to secure it. Cut the excess string. The two large beads should come together to hide the knot beneath it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use one larger bead in place of the two large beads.
