How to Blog With Dreamweaver CS5
Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 is a website development program that allows you to create professional-looking websites quickly and easily. Use this program to create a blog that really stands out from the rest, attracts traffic and keeps readers engaged and entertained. Dreamweaver is not the easiest platform in which to create and maintain a blog, however, it gives you more control of the site's layout and allows you the flexibility to create a unique looking website.

1
Open Dreamweaver CS5 on your computer. Choose the option to create a new page. With Dreamweaver CS5, you have the option of starting with a completely blank page for more creativity or choosing templates to take some of the guesswork out of creating the page from scratch.

2
Choose a background and create a header. The header on most blogs contains the name of the blog, a picture, and perhaps a catch-phrase or one-liner that describes what the blog is about. You can use a graphics program to create the header and upload it to Dreamweaver, or you can just write the name of the blog at the top of the page using Deamweaver's many fonts.

Decide on how you want to upload your posts. A blog is different than a static website in that it allows the owner to post dynamically to their website. Blogger.com and Wordpress.com offer solutions to this problem as they allow you to publish articles on your website through their blog interface. They provide you with the code needed and you simply insert that into your Dreamweaver code. However, you can find many PHP solutions online if you want to avoid these other sites. Search online for PHP programs that you can include into your site's code to allow you to post dynamically and link directly to individual blog posts. Copy and paste this code into Dreamweaver's code.

4
Save and upload the page you created in Dreamweaver to your website.

5
Type the article into Dreamweaver to create a blog post if you are not using Blogger.com or Wordpress.com. You will have to manually move your older articles to the bottom of the page, or create an archive page, so that your newest article remains on top. Save and upload the changes to your website. If you are using Blogger.com or Wordpress.com, they will provide you with the code necessary to do this automatically through their interface.
