2
Place the yarn next to the styrofoam head on a flat work surface. Arrange the yarn on the table in the color pattern desired. Place yarn strands in a random array of colors or in larger sections of a single color.

3
Put a small amount of hair glue on one hair track. Apply a small amount of glue that is just enough to adhere the hair or yarn to the wig cap. Apply the first piece of yarn or a track to the bottom left corner of the head. Continue applying the yarn or track to the head in a left to right pattern until the edge of the head is reached. Next, move up on the scalp and apply the first piece of yarn or track to the area of the head just above the area where the first piece of yarn or track was applied. Continue applying the hair using this method working from the bottom up to the top of the head and toward the area where the forehead meets the scalp.

Do not disturb the wig until at least 2 ½ hours have passed. Pull on a piece of hair toward the front of the head to determine whether the glue is dry. Let dry an additional hour if the glue is not completely dry.

5
Use sharp scissors to cut the wig in desired style. Remove the wig from styrofoam head.

Tips & Warnings
Try on the wig cap to make sure it fits snugly.
If a wig cap isn't available, cut off the legs or torso portion of a pair of pantyhose and tie a knot in the top to create a homemade wig cap.
For the best fit, try the wig cap on both male and female styrofoam heads.
Purchase multi-colored hair or yarn for a wig a random array of color or purchase a few different colors for a wig with chunks of colors.
Do not to use too much glue, as this will affect the appearance of the wig and could cause the wig to stick to the styrofoam head.
