How to Remove a Brake Light Switch on a 2000 Mercedes Benz Ml320

The brake lights of your ML320 are crucial for your safety.

The 2000 ML320 is a mid-sized SUV manufactured by Mercedes Benz. To operate the brake lights, there is a brake light switch connected to the brake pedal of the vehicle. When the pedal is depressed, the brake light switch turns on the brake lights. If the brake light switch begins to malfunction, your brake lights may not work properly. Things You'll Need

• Flat-head screwdriver
• Phillips-head screwdriver

Instructions

1. Park the ML320 and turn the engine off. Open the driver's side door of your ML320.

2. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the brake light switch panel above the brake pedal of the ML320.

3. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw securing the brake light switch to the vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connector of the switch and remove it from the ML320.

4. Install a replacement switch and attach its electrical connector. Reinstall the screw and reattach the brake light switch panel.
