Close the water valves on the pipes under your sink to stop the water flow to the faucet. You must shut the pipes prior to removing the cartridge; otherwise, water will shoot out of the faucet when the cartridge comes out.

Take out the set screw in the bottom of the handle with an Allen wrench and pull the handle off the faucet.

    • 3

Twist the dome counterclockwise and take it off the top of the faucet. Remove the cartridge nut under the handle with a wrench or pliers and remove the cartridge. On some models, it is necessary to pull the faucet spout base off the sink to access the cartridge retaining nut.

Install a new faucet cartridge and replace the spout and cartridge retaining nut. Tighten the nut with a wrench or pliers. Replace the dome and tighten by hand.
